We’ve all heard the fact if it’s a fact is it a fact? Awful images bathed in red and green bathed in red and green and tears flowing down hospital hallways down the hallways boxes wrapped unopened don’t give me your advice Out all night in the longest night on earth Memorize the birth of God the birth of God Say to yourself Some people can’t be helped Retracing every regret to the beginning picturing all the wrong things and the right things stay far away are your troubles out of sight? We’ve all heard the fact if it’s a fact It’s not a fact More suicides at Christmastime It isn’t true Ending Happening Imagining Endings Never-ending someone makes the lie do you know who? do you know who? figments take on life believing easy believing easy not much difference between how it is and how it feels you may want it too sweet relief is it sweet? This isn’t how to be if life is sacred is all life sacred? trouble’s miles away don’t give me your advice Used to enjoy All these things Used to be beaming no one living knows the feeling What feeling? Ending Happening Imagining Endings Never-ending We’ve all heard the fact if it’s a fact It’s not a fact believe it anyway We’re all so sad We’re all so merry

about

In the words of an old meme, "sure it's fake, but the fact that I thought it was true says a lot about society." The idea of a massive number of suicides (or even the most out of the year) occurring on Christmas is a meme, too, and I guess we're here to fight the disinformation. Or at least to examine it, see how it feels, that sort of thing. (But really look it up, it's not true.) Also there's a little synthesized rendition of the old lovingly self-pitying "Happy New Year" on the imaginary B-side. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!

Conductors Chicago, Illinois

"Mona tried to tell me
To stay away from the train line
She said that all the railroad men
Just drink up your blood like wine
An’ I said, 'Oh, I didn’t know that
But then again, there’s only one I’ve met
An’ he just smoked my eyelids
An’ punched my cigarette' "
